We are looking for a Java Developer who wants to fight financial crime. Someone who wants to become an expert at our product CAPTURE. This is a new product for detecting and preventing financial crime. Are you ready to take on this unique challenge?

We will first introduce ourselves:
We are Belleron, a pioneer in the fight against financial crime & terrorism problems. We help banks around the world by protecting them against fraud, hacking and APT attacks. We believe it is important to secure trust in financial institutions.
We have big names in the financial world who are our customers. We don't merely deal with questions faced by our customers as consultants. No, we have even developed our own product that will soon be on the market: CAPTURE. This product provides a solution if all other barriers prove insufficient. We're very proud of this!

What does the job entail?
As a Developer, you have an important role in our company. We work according to the Agile method and all the work that is done is organised into biweekly sprints. During the spring backlog, we discuss and distribute the stories, and you determine which ones you want to tackle. You work on our new product CAPTURE and, from the stories, you make sure that CAPTURE is tested. And you also ensure that a solution is delivered within the agreed time that meets the quality standards. You continuously maintain an overview of the process and ensure regular status updates. When you see room for improvement in the process, you initiate and implement them.

Why are you going to do this?
Because you, as a Developer, want to work with the latest technologies. You work on Belleron’s own product: CAPTURE. This product will increase the detection of bad guys all over the world, how cool is that! Within your role, you are responsible for new designs within the ever changing IT world. Through your proactive attitude, you stay informed of the latest developments in the field. And because you always think in terms of solutions, ‘no’ is not an option for you. You keep going until the maximum is achieved, and only then do you go home with a good feeling.

What work can you expect during a working day?
You design, program and test new back-end applications, as well as test and improve existing ones. You translate the functional requirements of clients into concrete technical solutions. If you see opportunities for improvement, you discuss this with colleagues and make sure they also want to implement these improvements. You do all this in a small team, so you have a lot of control.

The job requirements:

  • You have completed an IT education at HBO (higher professional education) level;
  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a Java Developer;
  • You are an expert in noSQL;
  • You are familiar with Big Data, Subversion, Storm and Zookeeper.

These characteristics describe you:

  • You are self-reliant. You can work independently on tasks assigned in a project.
  • You are communicative. Not all colleagues speak Dutch, but because you communicate in English just as easily, this is not a problem for you.
  • You maintain a good overview of the different projects. You know how to set the right priorities and act accordingly. You are not afraid to take responsibility.
  • You think in terms of solutions. Sometimes they are simple, other times they are innovative. But you always put the customer’s wishes first.

Do part of the above characteristic apply to you? Then you are the Developer we need!

These are your employment conditions:

  • A direct employment, we like to bind good people;
  • A good salary between € 5,000 - € 7,000 gross per month;
  • An informal atmosphere;
  • A dynamic job with an international character.

A few reasons why you would like to work with us;

  • You want to work with an informal group with nothing but absolute professionals. A club that wants to protect banks against money laundering, fraud and cyber-attacks;
  • You want to work for the security specialist that won the 2018 Temenos Innovation Jam series;
  • You contribute to a unique product in the international banking sector;
  • You give substance to this job yourself;
  • You work in a small team with great ambitions.
